MEAG and IC Immobilien Gruppe extend two lease agreements for approx. 16,200 square metres with Kaufland

In cooperation with IC Immobilien Gruppe, MEAG has secured long-term extensions to two lease agreements with Kaufland in the Alsdorf and Hückelhoven retail parks, both in North-Rhine Westphalia, as of 30 November 2021. Both properties are part of the specialised real estate fund MEAG German SuperStores, with which institutional investors can participate in the potential for return offered by this asset class.

The retail park in Alsdorf was erected in 2002 and has a total lettable area of approx. 15,000 square metres. In addition to Kaufland as the anchor tenant with ca. 10,500 square metres of leasable space, the tenant mix is rounded off by Deichmann, dm and Adler.

The retail park in Hückelhoven was erected in 2004 and has a total lettable area of approx. 15,500 square metres. Kaufland is also the anchor tenant here with ca. 5,700 square metres as part of an attractive tenant mix with Media Markt, Intersport and Deichmann.

Elisabeth Jander, Head of Real Estate Asset Management Germany at MEAG: “As a full-range retailer Kaufland ensures the local supply of foodstuffs and consumer staples, thus making it a strong footfall generator. We are pleased that Kaufland has made a long-term commitment and we would also like to thank IC Gruppe for the excellent collaboration.”
